Cancun... place of honeymooners...

So Adri and I just got married 2 weeks ago and then spent a week in Cancun, Mexico. It was a great trip and we really had a great time. Some interesting experiences, lots of relaxing and some fun adventures.

Let me first say, if you go to a resort and they ask you to sit through a presentation with the lure of getting a discount on everything, make sure you know how long it is supposed to take. We had to listen to a guy try to talk us into buying into the resort for almost 5 hours... ridiculous. Oh, and if you sign up for a tour, hope you are the last to be picked up and the drivers don't have ulterior motives. 5 hours on what should be only an hour and a half to 2 hours, not fun. Regardless, it made for a wonderfully interesting time.

Anyway, enough typing, here are some pictures...
Chichen Itza was absolutely incredible. I wish we had had more time to wander around here and see thing (this is where the 5 hour shuttle ride came into play). And, I wish we had been able to walk around on the ruins (some guy fell from the top of the big temple and died, so they closed them).

This is called a "cenote," which is really just a sink hole. Anyway, down at the bottom they had built stairs to a cliff about 20 ft up that we jumped off a couple times. We have video to prove it, and that is coming soon.

The beaches were beautiful and the water was so warm. These pictures were taken right after our snorkeling trip. Too bad my camera isn't waterproof, otherwise I would have taken some pictures of the awesome fish we swam with.

This maybe should have been first, but I felt like it was the most uninteresting picture of the bunch. It was how our room was decorated when we walked, and all the cleaning ladies were giggling about how they decorated it.
All in all we had a wonderful trip and we have some great memories from it, but are happy to be home starting our life together.

I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful trip. Congrats again! The bed thing in your hotel room was pretty funny. Cancun looked beautiful too.
