Sneak Peak: Bridals

We started taking Adri's bridal shots yesterday. We aren't finished as there are a few more locations we want to go, but we thought we would give everyone a sneak peak of what we have so far. These are only a few of our favorites. Let's just say we took 742 pictures yesterday alone. So, needless to say, we have a lot to choose from and some that turned out absolutely stunning (it's all Adri). We hope you enjoy those that we have so far.

The adventures continue...

So call me a slacker. I know I haven't posted anything in a while and a number of people have asked me why. Well, July was a very busy month for Adri and I. Between planning a wedding and flying around the country to see people and places, we don't have a whole lot of time to sit in front of a computer and type.

Anyway, like I said, we've been flying around the country to see a number of places and people. For the 4th of July we went out to California. I was already out there for work, only down in San Diego, and so Adri met up with me in San Francisco after I finished work. We spent the 4th weekend with my brother and his wife running around where they call home. We had a great time, ate some wonderful food, and saw some really cool places to check off our list.
When we went to Alcatraz we were hoping to get night passes, but they were sold out so that didn't happen. But, the place was still cool and still eerie. I wish that we had been there alone with free reign to go where we wanted, but obviously that won't happen.
Apparently this is the first summer in years when the sea lions have been back in San Francisco. I guess they just wanted to see us really bad. I think that both Adri and I wish we could have lounged around like this at some point.
Muir woods was pretty cool and peaceful. I've not seen trees this big before, but I hear the sequoia's are even more impressive.
After two weeks back in Utah to plan and prepare for the wedding we headed out to Michigan to see my parents. Adri has never been east of Colorado. I kept telling her to prepare for the humidity because it is so hot, wet and sticky in Michigan. Fortunately for her, the weather was absolutely perfect the entire time we were there. I don't know how we got so lucky, but I'm not complaining.

We went to Mackinac Island, which is pronounced Mackinaw (how a "c" makes a "w" sound I do not know). No cars are allowed on the island, so everything is either human or horse powered.
My parents enjoyed having us around too, I think. Either that or this is their way of saying they are so weird that we should be running away. Well, I am their child, so this is nothing new to me, and I think I followed in their foot steps a bit.
As you ride around the island (8 total miles), there are rock towers everywhere, so Adri and I decided to add our own.
This is my parents back yard. I miss the foggy mornings like this, and the sounds at night that put you to sleep so nicely.
This is my dog Arthur, which Adri would love to have. She even told my parents she would take him, but my mom said no (to my dad's displeasure).
Every so often we will go on adventures at night and see what kinds of things we can find and pictures we can get. This night we got the big dipper, and we saw a baby moose (which at first Adri thought was 2 people walking across the road). The thing was huge.Life for us is wonderful right now. We are so blessed to be able to do the things we want to do, and go to the places we want to go. I can't complain to have such an adventurous girl in my life, and I look forward to the many adventures to come.
